Uttarakhand : Transport Minister Chandan Ram Das said 650 bus drivers will be recruited soon, ARTO office will be built in Ranikhet

ARTO office approved during Congress rule in Ranikhet will come into existence soon. Transport Minister Chandan Ram Das said that the work would be started soon. Along with this, 650 drivers will be recruited in the state to improve the condition of all the depots and to remove the shortage of staff. At the same time, the roadways workshop at Tarikhet was also given green signal. The minister reiterated that the instructions regarding merger of the four roadways depots have been quashed. Along with this, he also announced the repair of the dilapidated building of Ranikhet branch. Transport Minister Chandan Ram Das reached Ranikhet Nagar. Where the workers warmly welcomed the minister by garlanding the minister at Kemu station. Later, the minister listened to the problems of the personnel in the roadways depot auditorium. Talking to reporters, Minister Das said that on the request of MLA Dr. Pramod Nainwal, the affiliation of Ranikhet depot has been ended. Referring to the demand of the taxi union, he said that the GPS system in old vehicles will be abolished and will be applicable only in new vehicles. Taking a tough stand on corruption in the RTO office, he said that strict action will be taken. The flaws will also be corrected. Earlier, he also inspected the Ranikhet Depot branch office.
