Actor Salim Ghaus passes away
Film and TV actor Salim Ghaus died of cardiac arrest in Mumbai on Thursday. He was 70 years old.
Salim’s wife Anita Salim has confirmed the death of her husband. He said that he died of cardiac arrest on Thursday morning after experiencing chest pain on Wednesday night.
“We took him to Kokilaben Hospital last night and he passed away this morning,” he said. He hated mourning and wanted life to go on. He did not face any kind of trouble, he did not like to depend on anyone. He was a very proud person. He was a versatile actor, a martial artist, an actor, a director and a lovely cook in the kitchen.
Condoling his death, The Family Man fame actor Sharib Hashmi tweeted, “First time saw Salim sahab in a TV serial in the morning! And his work was amazing!! His voice was amazing.

Salim Ghaus made his acting debut in 1978 with the film Swarg Narak, after which he acted in several other films such as Chakra (1981), Saransh (1984), Mohan Joshi Hazir Ho (1984).
Other films in which he played lead roles include Manthan, Kalyug, Trikaal, Aghat, Drohi, Sardari Begum, Koyla, Sainik, Aks and many more.
Salim is known for his roles in language films other than Hindi. Some of his popular Tamil films are Kamal Haasan’s Vetri Vizha, Vijay’s Vettaikaran, Thiruda Thiruda directed by Mani Ratnam.
Ghosh was also a well-known face in the television industry. They played the roles of Ram, Krishna and Tipu Sultan in Shyam Benegal’s TV series Bharat Ek Khoj. He was also a part of Doordarshan’s famous serial Wagle Ki Duniya (1988).
He was also a famous name in the field of theater. He was a graduate from FTII Pune and was also actively involved in the field of Mumbai theatre. Salim also had some international projects like Kim, The Perfect Murder, The Deceivers, The Maharaja’s Daughter and Getting Personal.
