Uttarakhand / Haldwani : School van driver-operator punished for indecent act
The court of Additional Sessions Judge, Special Judge Poxo Nandan Singh has given rigorous imprisonment of 7-7 years and 60-years to the driver-operator who committed obscene acts in a van with a three-and-a-half-year-old girl studying in nursery in a school located in Hiranagar, Haldwani. Sentenced to fine of Rs 60,000. Both of them had also assaulted the girl for misbehaving.
ADGC criminal advocate Naveen Joshi told that the driver of the school van, Ratan Singh resident Paniyali Mukhani and operator Pradeep Joshi, native Garun Jainti, Almora and Hall Mukhani, used to do obscene acts with an innocent girl of Kathgodam police station area. The family came to know about the matter on 20 September 2018 after the girl’s health deteriorated. When the family members did not file a complaint in the matter, the woman doctor’s husband Captain (Retd) Anil Gupta filed a case to get justice for the girl child. After this the police arrested both the accused. Since then the matter was going on in the court. He presented 14 witnesses in the case.
