This time every horse mule walking on Kedarnath will have a GPS chip on its forehead so that the location of the pedestrian and the horse mule can be traced. On the instructions of the district administration, with the help of the district panchayat, GMAX Company has installed GPS chip on 2100 horse mules.
With the help of Zilla Panchayat, GMAX Company installed GPS chip on 2100 horse mules. After the Kedarnath disaster, for the safety of the passengers, along with the horses, mules, the location of the passengers will be monitored moment by moment. With the efforts of District Panchayat and Gmax Company, this time RF ID is being installed on horse mules. The location of every horse, mule and passenger coming from Gaurikund to Kedarnath can be traced in the control room at Sonprayag with the help of Radio Frequency Radiation System. Along with this, it will also be known at which point the horse has reached. For this, systems have been installed at Gaurikund, Bhimbali, Lincholi and Base Camp Kedarnath. The registration of horse mules is being done by the district panchayat while the horse mules are being tagged. After this, while issuing the license, GMAX is issuing the RF ID chip which is being installed on the forehead of the horse mules.
Additional Chief Officer of District Panchayat Rajesh Panwar said that so far RF ID has been installed on 2100 horse mules. Said that all the horses and mules that will be registered in the travel route will be affixed with this chip so that the location of every passenger going to the mule on the foot and the respective horse mule and owner can be traced.
