Uttarakhand / Haldwani : Commissioner Deepak Rawat reached the cricket stadium, gave one month ultimatum

On Saturday, Kumaon Commissioner Deepak Rawat inspected the Cricket and Indoor Stadium built by the Gaulapar Sports Department of Haldwani. Giving an ultimatum of one month to the executive body (Nagarjuna Construction Company) for the possession of cricket and indoor stadium, he directed to fix the grass of the cricket stadium with sprinklers, repair it as needed.
The construction work in the stadium has been completed by the executive body. In the indoor stadium, the work of flooring in the badminton court, gymnasium, practice court is to be done by the Drinking Water Corporation, in which advance action is being taken by the sports department. Instructed the Sports Department to take electrical connection for the operation of the stadium.
During the inspection, the Kumaon Commissioner said that correspondence will be made with the government regarding the operation, user charge, maintenance of cricket and indoor stadium. The work of Cricket and Indoor Stadium constructed by Nagarjuna Construction Company of Hyderabad on 38 acres at a cost of 173 crores has been completed. The stadium has a swimming pool, table tennis, hockey, artificial rock climbing, judo, gymnastics, taekwondo and 04 badminton courts, 02 basketball, 02 volleyball courts. Even after handing over the stadium by the executing agency, it will be maintained for 1 year as per the contract.
