Runway 34 Box Office Collection Day 3: Ajay’s runway jumps 50%
Along with Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2, Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgan starrer Runway 34 has also been released in theaters on April 29 (Friday). Ajay Devgan has not only been seen acting strong in this action thriller film, but he has also directed this film. The film Runway 34 is trying its best to give a tough competition to Tiger’s Heropanti at the box office. Apart from Ajay Devgan and Big B, the film Runway 34 also stars Boman Irani, Rakulpreet Singh and Akanksha Singh in lead roles.
Talking about the box office report of Runway 34, the film did a business of about 3.50 crores on the opening day. Runway 34 managed to attract less audience at the box office than Heropanti. If reports are to be believed, the film opened with a disappointing 15% occupancy in theatres. It was expected from the film that it can do business of 6 to 7 crores on its opening day, but it did not happen. However, on the second day, there was a jump of 50 percent in the film’s earnings. The film did a business of about 5 crores on Saturday. Now its total net earning for two days has become around Rs 8.50 crore. It is being estimated that today i.e. on the third day, the film can do business of about 6 to 8 crores.
One reason for the slow start of the film could also be Yash’s KGF 2. To get the tag of a hit, the film will have to do business of at least 100 crores. At the same time, Shahid Kapoor’s jersey, which was released in the past, also died very soon in front of KGF. The flame of KGF is still intact. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see how much and how long Runway 34 can last at the box office despite the big starcast.
