Uttarakhand : Devotees will have easy access to the temple, now Dhanaulti will soon get the gift of helipad – CM Dhami
The ropeway facility in Dhanaulti was started a few days back, but Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated it on Sunday. Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj was also present along with the CM. Chief Minister Dhami was supposed to inaugurate the Surkanda Devi ropeway after reaching Kaddukhal at 11.55 am, but he got delayed. He reached here in the afternoon and inaugurated the ropeway. On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that self-employment will increase with the start of Surkanda Devi Ropeway and people will get facility to reach the temple. The Chief Minister said that this time a record number of devotees are expected to reach Chardham Yatra. The exercise to implement Uniform Civil Code in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand has intensified.
He said that a helipad would be built in Dhanaulti area keeping in view the possibilities of pilgrimage and tourism. The district administration will select the land for the helipad. The CM further said that there is a plan to make Tehri Lake the best tourist destination in the world. For various development works in the lake area, earlier approval of Rs 12 hundred crore was received from the Government of India, for which the DPR is being prepared. A proposal of Rs 800 crore has been sent to the Government of India.
