16 senior IAS officers moved from here to there in UP

The UP government on Sunday night transferred 16 senior IAS officers. Under this, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) State Tax Department and Infrastructure and Industrial Development Commissioner Sanjeev Mittal have been made the Chairman of the Revenue Council. Keeping the trust in ACS Arvind Kumar of Industrial Development Department, he has been given the main charge of Industrial Development Commissioner. Along with this, till now ACS Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department Manoj Kumar Singh has been made Agriculture Production Commissioner giving important posting. Amrit Abhijat, posted in technical education, has been given the responsibility of Principal Secretary, Urban Development.

While reducing the responsibility of Deepak Kumar posted as Principal Secretary Housing and Basic Education, the work of Housing Department has been taken from him. He will continue to be the Principal Secretary, Basic Education. While giving important posting to Meerut Commissioner Surendra Singh, CEO Greater Noida has also been given additional charge. While removing RK Singh, Principal Secretary, Transport Department, he has been sent to an insignificant post like Principal Secretary, Horticulture and Food Processing. Nitin Ramesh Gokarn, who was posted as Principal Secretary PWD, has been made Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Planning. While increasing the responsibility of Chairman of Power Corporation M Devraj, the charge of Principal Secretary Energy has also been given.
