Spinning bowler Mayank shines in county cricket

Originally from Rudrapur and currently based in Haldwani, Uttarakhand Ranji team member Mayank Mishra managed to make a mark for the second year in a row, taking five wickets with 18 runs in the second match of the Yorkshire Premier League North of England county cricket.
Mayank Mishra, who has been bowling at Haldwani Colts Cricket Academy for five years, also joined Haldwani’s GNG Cricket Arena Academy and has led Uttarakhand to the quarterfinals with a stellar performance in Ranji matches.
Mayank Mishra’s team Driffield Town Cricket Club won this match of Yorkshire Premier League by a huge margin of 132 runs. Noah Kelly scored 49 runs for the team. The team scored 219 runs for eight wickets in 50 overs. Ben Kettlewell and Nasser Jamal took two wickets each. In response, the entire team of Sesse Cricket Club got caught in the claws of Mayank Mishra and the entire team returned to the pavilion for 87 runs in 32.2 overs.
In the match, Mayank also took five wickets for 18 runs in 13 overs with five maiden overs. District Nainital Cricket Association treasurer Kamal Papnai said that Uttarakhand’s spinner Mayank Mishra dominated county cricket last year as well.
