Weekend shooting in Chicago, 8 people killed, 16 injured

At least 8 people were killed in separate incidents of shootings over the weekend in Chicago, USA. During this 16 people were injured. Information in this regard has been given in local media reports.

A local media report quoted city police as saying that the firing incident took place around 5:45 pm on Friday. A 69-year-old man was shot dead at his own home on NBC Chicago South Kilpatrick.

The victims include people of all age groups including a minor as well as a 62-year-old woman. The report said that the incidents took place in several areas including Brighton Park, South Indiana, North Kedji Avenue, Humboldt Park.
