Before Modi reached France, the big decision of the defense company there

The French Defense Navy Group has told that it cannot participate in the P-75 India project. Under this project, six conventional submarines were to be built in India for the Indian Navy.

It is also one of the five international groups shortlisted for this 43 thousand crore rupees project. The group has stated that it cannot fulfill the requirements of the Request for Proposal (RFP) and therefore will not be involved in the project.

This project is the largest under the new strategic partnership model. Under this project, an Indian company with the participation of international companies will jointly build submarines in India and share technology.

The P-75I is the second project to build submarines in India. Naval Group has completed the construction of six Kalvari class (Scorpene class) conventional submarines under the P-75 project in partnership with Mazagon Dockyard Shipbuilding Limited (MDL) in India.

The P-75 project was signed in the year 2005 and at that time the name of this naval group was DCNS. Under this project, four of the six submarines have already been deployed in the Navy. The construction of the sixth submarine began last month and was to be commissioned by the end of next year.

In a statement issued on 30 April, Laurent Videau, Country and Managing Director of the Indian arm of the French company Navy Group, said that the existing RFP requires the Sea Proof of SAIL AIP, which was not there till now as the French Navy has been in such a situation. Does not use propulsion system.

AIP stands for Air Independent Propulsion. This technique is used in conventional submarines. This allows submarines to stay underwater for longer periods of time and also has less noise than diesel-electric propulsion systems.

Video said that the Naval Group will always provide assistance in the P-75 (I) project of the Indian Navy in line with self-reliant India. He also expressed hope for more good relations with India in future.
