Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment, 1,007 posts to be filled in Himachal, application process started

Indian Postal Department has invited applications for 38,926 posts including Gramin Dak Sevak. Notification has been issued for this. Candidates can apply online for these posts on the official website till June 5. According to the notification, in this process 38,926 vacancies of Branch Postmaster, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Dak Sevak will be recruited in India Post. Selected candidates for branch postmaster posts will be given a salary of Rs 12,000 per month. Whereas for other posts, candidates will get a salary of Rs 10,000 per month.

Indian Postal Department has fixed the minimum age of the candidate for recruitment to these posts is 18 years and maximum age is 40 years. There is relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category candidates as per government rules. Apart from this, the candidate for recruitment to these posts should have passed class 10th or equivalent examination of a recognized board. There is an application fee of Rs 100 for General, OBC and EWS and no fee for other reserved category.

Fee can be paid through online credit, debit card, net banking. 1,007 posts will be filled in Himachal Pradesh. There will be no entrance test after online application. The selection process of the candidate will be completed on the basis of 10th marks. 102 posts for Chamba under Himachal Pradesh postal circle, 131 posts in Hamirpur, five posts in RAAS Mandi circle, 108 posts in Solan, 91 in Dehra Gopipur, 183 in Mandi, 157 in Shimla, 38 in Una, 122 in Dharamsala, 70 posts are to be filled in Rampur Bushahr. These include 424 in UR category, EWS 99, OBC 191, SC 229, ST 47, PWD-A 4, PWD-B5, PWD-C7 and one post in PWD-DE.
