PM Modi’s strong message to China from Europe’s ‘engine’ Germany, ‘friend’ Russia also a big sign on Ukraine

In the joint statement of India and Germany, the importance of a rules-based international order has been underlined in the world according to the rules of the United Nations. Both countries called for respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries. India and Germany emphasized on making the Indo-Pacific region free, open and inclusive. The centrality of ASEAN was recognized. It also emphasized the importance of free trade and freedom of navigation under international law.
India invited to attend special meeting of G-7

During a joint press conference with PM Modi, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz called the Indo-Pacific one of the most dynamic global regions with many conflicts and challenges. PM Modi and Chancellor Scholz strongly condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. It also includes proxy use of terrorists and cross-border terrorism. In a stern message to Pakistan, the two leaders called on all countries to dismantle terrorist safe havens and infrastructure, disrupt terrorist networks and block financing in accordance with various international laws, including international humanitarian law. PM Modi and German Chancellor Scholz called for concerted action against all terrorist groups, including those banned by the UN Security Council 1267 Sanctions Committee.
