Uttarakhand : Food scam worth crores! claim check

When KP Gangwar, the Central President of Brotherhood Ekta Manch filed a public interest litigation in the Hon’ble High Court demanding an investigation into the crores of rupees scam in the supply department, the supply department is now going from house to house in a wrong way to save itself. Even on the day of the distribution of ration cards has started.

Let us tell you that crores of rupees of food grains have been scammed by the supply inspectors of Udham Singh Nagar, converting yellow ration card into white ration card and the food supply inspector and district supply officer together digested the complaint, whose complaint was shared by the Central Department of Brotherhood Ekta Manch. President KP Gangwar did all the administration including the District Magistrate but no action was taken.

In the last week of last month, a public interest litigation was filed in the Hon’ble High Court by the Bhaichara Ekta Manch demanding investigation and recovery of Rs 200 crore in the food scam, then the employees and officers of the supply department with the aim of saving themselves. They have started distributing ration cards from door to door even on holidays, whereas before today, till now the supply inspectors of the district have digested food grains worth several crores.

District Magistrate Udham Singh Nagar has also appointed all the Deputy District Magistrates of the district to investigate the whole matter. At the same time, Brotherhood Ekta Manch has demanded recovery from all the supply inspectors, all the ration depot operators after investigating the food scam so far, the demand for recovery and investigation of the property of all the supply inspectors has also been included in the PIL.
