Former India batsman Virender Sehwag has sent a message to Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant to bat responsibly and score runs in IPL 2022. According to Sehwag, so far Pant has been batting too slow or getting out while trying to play freely too soon. Pant has scored 234 runs in nine matches at a strike rate of 149.04. Sehwag said that Pant has failed to strike the right balance in his game. Speaking on Cricbuzz ahead of Delhi’s match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Thursday (May 5), he said, “Yes, Pant should play with some responsibility. But when he plays like this the strike rate drops. On the other hand, when he is playing freely, he gets out. He needs to find the right balance, which he is capable of. According to Sehwag, not only Delhi’s batting, but their bowling is also an issue.
