Uttarakhand: Congress’s decision in the by-election, Nirmala Gahatodi will challenge CM Dhami in Champawat elections

Congress has made former district president and former minister of state Nirmala Gahatodi as its candidate for Champawat by-election, who will contest on Congress ticket in front of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
The seat was won by BJP’s Kailash Gahatodi who resigned from his legislature for the sake of CM Dhami. After the refusal of former MLA Hemesh Kharkwal to contest the election, the Congress had to take a decision to bet on Nirmala Gehtodi after long brainstorming.
Polling for Champawat by-election will be held on May 31 while results will be declared on June 3.
