A case was registered on complaint form Bank of India, Ludhiana, a private firm located at Gaunspura, Tehsil-Malerkotla (Punjab) and against the then directors, guarantors of the private company, another private firm and unknown public servants/private persons among others. It was alleged that the said private firm, DOC Rice Bran, DOC Mustard Cake, Cottonseed Cake, Maize, Bajra and other food grains based in Gaunspura, Malerkotla was engaged in trading of food grains. The loan was sanctioned by the bank to the borrower firm at 4 intervals from 2011-2014. It was further alleged that the firm through its directors had concealed blind stock and malafide and dishonestly diverted the book debts so that it was not made available to the creditor bank for inspection and recovery as secured creditors. Could. Due to this the bank suffered a loss of about 40.92 crores.
