The Superintendent of Roorkee Railway Station has received a threatening letter. In this letter, on May 21, several railway stations including Laksar, Najibabad, Dehradun, Roorkee, Rishikesh, Haridwar railway station, besides Haridwar and other religious places have been threatened with bombs. The sender of the letter has described himself as the area commander of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. It has been told that the name of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand is also on the target in the letter. There has been a stir from Haridwar to Najivabad after receiving the letter. The investigation of the sender of the letter has started. Along with this, vigilance has been increased at railway stations of Uttarakhand and UP.

Threatening letter written in broken Hindi

According to railway sources, the Roorkee railway station superintendent received a threatening letter on Saturday evening. The letter is written in broken Hindi. In this, threatening to blow up Laksar, Najibabad, Dehradun, Roorkee, Rishikesh, Haridwar railway stations by posing as Salim Ansari, the area commander of terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. Along with this, he has also threatened to target other religious places including Mansha Devi, Chandi Devi in ​​Haridwar.

In 2019 also received such a threatening letter

A railway official said on the condition of anonymity that the higher officials have been informed about the letter. At the same time, the police is busy in getting the information of the sender of the letter. If sources are to be believed, the police is matching the handwriting of such threatening letters received in the past. Let us inform that the Roorkee railway station superintendent had received such a threatening letter in April 2019.

Maybe someone’s mischief, but the police is fully alert

Although like the letters received earlier, it can also be a mischief of someone, but due to the sensitivity of the matter, the police is in alert mode. Till late night, railway and police officials avoided saying anything about it. Roorkee GRP’s Acting Police Station Mamta Gola said that information has been received about receiving the letter.

3 years ago also received letter of threat of blast

In April 2019, a similar letter was received by the Roorkee railway station superintendent, threatening to carry out blasts at railway stations on May 13. After that the security of the railway station and surrounding areas was increased. However, such threatening letters were also received in November 2021 by the railway station superintendent of Meerut and Hapur.

Who is sending the letter?

On receiving letters threatening to blow up six railway stations in Uttarakhand, DGP Ashok Kumar said that a mentally challenged person has been sending such threatening letters for the last 20 years. Still, precautions are being taken.
