Maharashtra : Navneet Rana in trouble, made this big mistake, may have to go to jail again

The Maharashtra government may on Monday challenge the bail granted to Lok Sabha MP from Amravati Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana. Special Public Prosecutor in this case Pradeep Gharat said, “I have sent some clips of Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana. After going through those clips carefully, I am satisfied that their conversation is in the bail order given to them. There is a violation of the conditions laid down. I am duty bound to place it before the court. I will request the court on Monday to issue a non-bailable warrant against him and take him into custody.

Rana couple were released from jail on Wednesday

The sessions court in Mumbai on Wednesday granted bail to the Rana couple, who were arrested after they announced recitation of Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence. After his release from Byculla jail on Thursday, Navneet Rana was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for a medical checkup. He had an MRI scan and full body checkup at Lilavati Hospital on Saturday after complaining of spondylitis along with pain in chest, neck and various parts of the body.

Violation of conditional bail

The Rana couple got bail from the court after being in jail for 12 days. While granting bail, the court had also laid down several conditions, violating which the bail could be cancelled. One such condition also includes that Navneet Rana and her husband cannot issue any statement in the media regarding the matter. However, Navneet Rana spoke to the media as soon as he was discharged from the hospital and gave a statement regarding the arrest.

Let us inform that the Rana couple was arrested from their Mumbai residence on 23 April. The Rana couple had announced that they would recite Hanuman Chalisa outside Uddhav Thackeray’s house in Bandra. Two FIRs were registered against the duo on charges of sedition, promoting enmity and assaulting a public servant to prevent the discharge of duty.
