Uttarakhand / Nainital : Demand for investigation against video share by linking to terrorist organization on social media
In the Bara Pathar area of Nainital, a case of viral linking the video of eviction of government land from the government land has come to the fore. Regarding this matter, on Sunday, the advocate of the High Court has given a complaint letter in Kotwali and demanded action after investigation.
On May 5, in the Bara Pathar area of Nainital, under the leadership of the district administration, a joint team of DDA, Municipality and Forest Department removed the encroachments from the government land by vacating them in the presence of the police. During this, local people also made videos. Here, on Sunday, a video of this campaign became increasingly viral on social media. It has been linked with terrorist organization. In this regard, High Court advocate Nitin Karki, while giving a complaint letter in Kotwali, said that by editing the video of encroachment removal, ISIS flags and fighters of terrorist organization are being shown. This is creating fear in the society. The advocate has demanded action to stop the publicity of the video and investigate the matter.
Kotwal Pritam Singh said that after the complaint, a person’s mobile has been taken in possession and sent to the Social Media Surveillance Unit. Action will be taken against the concerned if the facts come to light. At present the matter is being investigated.
