Separatist leader Yasin Malik confessed in court, said- Yes, I was involved in terrorist activities

Separatist leader Yasin Malik on Tuesday (May 10, 2022) admitted that he was involved in terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir. He confessed his crime before a Delhi court and said, “Yes, I have been involved in terrorist and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Special Judge Praveen Singh will hear arguments on May 19 to decide the punishment for Yasin Malik in these offences. The maximum punishment in these cases is life imprisonment.

Meanwhile, the court has ordered Farooq Ahmed Dar alias Bitta Karate, Shabir Shah, Masarat Alam, Mohammad Yusuf Shah, Aftab Ahmed Shah, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Naeem Khan, Mohammad Akbar Khande, Raja Mehrajuddin Kalwal, Bashir Ahmed Bhat, Zahoor Ahmed Shah Charges were also formally framed against other Kashmiri separatist leaders including Watali, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Abdul Rashid Sheikh and Naval Kishore Kapoor.

A charge sheet was also filed against Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Saeed and Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin, who have been declared absconders in the case.
