Uttarakhand / Uttarkashi : Police arrested smugglers with illegal smack against drugs

To make India free from drugs and drugs, “Nasha Free India Campaign” is being run at the national level against narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, Yaduvanshi Superintendent of Police, under the said campaign at Uttarkashi district level, Yaduvanshi Superintendent of Police Uttarkashi has instructed all the officers/station in-charge/SOG/ADTF teams to take strict action by being active continuously, in this sequence, last night under the leadership of police station in-charge Purola Ashok Kumar, during checking by Purola Police, Agricultural Investment Center, Naugaon Road. Person named Purola Rameshwar was arrested with 12.48 grams of illegal smack.

On the basis of the arrest and recovery, a case was registered against the said police station Purola under Section 8/21 of the NDPS Act. During interrogation, it was told by the accused that he was buying Smack from Dehradun and taking it to Sankri, Mori to sell it at a good profit. Information is being collected regarding the criminal history of the accused, the accused will be presented before Hon’ble Court today.
