Bhagat Singh’s chapter removed from school courses in Karnataka, Kejriwal said – why does BJP insult martyrs

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday attacked the BJP-led government in the southern state for deleting a text on Bhagat Singh from a school book in Karnataka. He said that the move was an insult to the martyrdom of the great freedom fighter and the Karnataka government should withdraw this decision.
Kejriwal, the national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), tweeted that the country will not tolerate this kind of insult to its martyrs. He questioned the BJP that why do ‘its people’ hate Bhagat Singh so much?
Some organisations, including the All India Democratic Students Organization (AIDSO) and the All India Save Education Committee (AISEC), have claimed that the Karnataka government has removed a text on Bhagat Singh from the school book and the RSS in the revised Class X Kannada textbook. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar’s speech is included.
Kejriwal said, “Why do people of BJP hate Amar Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh ji so much? Removal of Sardar Bhagat Singh ji’s name from school books is an insult to the sacrifice of Amar Shaheed. He said, “The country will absolutely not tolerate such insult to its martyrs. The BJP government will have to withdraw this decision.” AAP termed the decision to remove a text on Bhagat Singh from a Kannada textbook as “shameful”. The party demanded the Karnataka government to re-include this text in the school book.
The handle tweeted, “Shameful. The BJP government of Karnataka has removed the text related to Bhagat Singh ji from the school books. Why does BJP hate Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh ji so much?” The party said, “BJP should withdraw this decision. India will not tolerate such humiliation of our freedom fighters.”
