Uttarakhand : Many died due to drowning in the river

The teenager died due to drowning while taking a bath in the Jagbuda river near Devipura railway track in Banbasa Champawat. Rohit Singh alias Rahul (15) son of Mazgaon resident Late. Rajendra Singh had gone to Jagbuda river near Devipura to take a bath with friends at around 10 am on Monday. Then he drowned. Police divers and SDRF team searched for him.
In the same Ramnagar, while bathing in the Kosi river, he had an epileptic attack and the young man drowned, due to which he died. As the mercury rises, the death toll of people drowning while bathing in rivers, lakes and canals is increasing. While two students died while taking a bath in the Corbett Falls on Sunday, on Monday, two more people, including a teenager, drowned while taking a bath at different places.
His body was found around 3:30 pm. Sharda Barrage police outpost in-charge SI Hemant Kathait said that after the Panchnama, the body of the teenager was sent for post-mortem. Village head Deepak Prakash Chand told that he has an old grandmother, mother, an elder brother at the house of the deceased. It has been told that Rahul’s father also died due to drowning.
Young man drowned while bathing in Garjiya, death
Thousands of devotees arrived in Ramnagar (Nainital) on Buddha Purnima to take bath in Garjiya Mata Temple and Kosi River. Meanwhile, a youth resident of Chandausi drowned. The family took him to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Even before the police reached the hospital, the relatives took away the dead body. Chandausi resident Netram (40) son Chironji Lal had reached the Garjiya temple with family members on Monday to visit the mother. After darshan, they all started bathing in the Kosi river. Meanwhile, suddenly Netram drowned in the river. The family members somehow pulled him out of the river and took him to Ramnagar Government Hospital in Tempo where after examination the doctors declared him brought dead. Police was informed by the hospital. Even before the police reached the hospital, the family took the dead body to Chandausi. Kotwal Arun Kumar Saini told that talks were held with the relatives of the deceased youth over the phone. He told that Netram had an epileptic attack while taking a bath in the Kosi river and had drowned due to which he died. The relatives took away the dead body and have denied taking any action.
