Maharashtra: Fire breaks out after a heavy collision between a diesel tanker and a truck, 9 people burnt to death

A horrific road accident has occurred in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. After a heavy collision between a diesel tanker and a truck, the vehicles were engulfed. 9 people have died due to burning in the fire. According to the agency, the truck driver also lost his life in the accident.

It is being told that this accident happened in an area of Chandrapur district. On getting information about the accident, the police reached the spot. Police officials said that the truck was loaded with wood. At present the accident is being investigated.
Nine people died on the spot
Chandrapur sub-divisional police officer Sudhir Nandanwar said, “A tanker laden with diesel rammed into a truck carrying wooden logs near Ajaipur near Chandrapur town. A fire broke out after the accident in which nine people died on the spot.
The fire was brought under control after hours
Forest department sources said fire brigade personnel reached Ajaypur about an hour after the accident and the fire was brought under control after a few hours. Nandanvar said the bodies of the victims were later taken to Chandrapur Hospital.
Following this incident, vehicles were blocked on both sides of the road. Several fire tenders worked throughout the night to douse the flames.
Many nearby trees also got burnt in the fire
It is being told that as soon as the petrol tanker collided with the truck, after which the tire of the truck burst, and the truck went out of control and collided with the tanker coming from the front. A huge fire broke out due to the collision of both. At the same time, many trees of the surrounding forest have been burnt due to the petrol spread on the road after this incident.
