The Additional District and Sessions Judge Court has sentenced the three brothers of the deceased (two relatives and one cousin) to death penalty and 50-50 thousand fine in the case of brutal murder of a married woman by cutting her with a sharp weapon. Government advocate Bhupeshwar Thakral, Additional District and Sessions Judge Court of Laksar told that Preeti, daughter of Nepal Singh, resident of Shahpur village of Khanpur police station area, married Brajmohan, a resident of Dharmapur village of Khanpur police station area, in the year 2014 against the wishes of her relatives. This angered his relatives. After marriage, the relatives of the married woman had ended the relationship with her. On 18 May 2018, Preeti had come to her maternal uncle Santarpal’s house in Abdipur village of Khanpur police station area.
During this, Preeti’s real brothers Kuldeep and Arun and cousin Rahul, resident of Abdipur, who were already ambushed there, had brutally murdered Preeti by cutting her with a shovel and shovel. In the case, a case was registered at Khanpur police station by the husband of the married woman, Brajmohan, naming five people Kuldeep, Arun, Rahul, besides Shyam Singh and Omkar.
Due to the investigation of the case, the names of Shyam Singh and Omkar were removed from the case by the police. Whereas on August 13, 2018, a charge sheet was filed in the court considering Kuldeep, Arun and Rahul guilty.
The hearing of the matter was going on in the Additional District and Sessions Judge Court. The government advocate said that 15 witnesses were presented in the case. After the hearing, Additional District and Sessions Judge Shankarraj, considering this case of ruthless murder as an honor killing, found the three guilty and sentenced them to death.
