India-Pakistan match draw in Asia Cup
The match between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup hockey tournament ended in a 1-1 draw. In the last 70 seconds of the match, Abdul Rana of Pakistan showed a brilliant game from the penalty corner and scored the goal.
Karthi Selvam scored the only goal for Team India. The team lost two penalty corners in the first quarter, but Karti took advantage of the third penalty corner and scored in the 9th minute to give India a 1-0 lead.
Now Team India will play its next match against Japan on 24th May and Indonesia on 26th May.

India beat Pakistan in Asian Champions Trophy
Earlier, in the Asian Champions Trophy played on 21 December 2021, Team India defeated Pakistan 4-3. Team India under the leadership of Birender Lakra wanted to start with a win in the championship, but it did not happen. The team is considered to be the favorite to win this tournament.

India and Pakistan are on equal footing in terms of winning the title of this tournament. Both have won three titles each. India has won the titles in 2003, 2007, 2017. Whereas in 1982, 1985, 1989 *, 1994, 2013 have lost final matches. This was the 178th hockey match between India and Pakistan.
