Uttar Pradesh : Azam Khan-Rajbhar and Shivpal made distance, Akhilesh Yadav was alone in the protest of the assembly!
SP leader Azam Khan, who came out on bail from jail, took oath as MLA on Monday, but kept distance from SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. Azam Khan returned to Rampur instead of attending the assembly proceedings. At the same time, MLAs from Azam Khan’s son Abdullah Azam to Shivpal Yadav and Om Prakash Rajbhar’s party were present in the assembly proceedings, but did not join the SP’s protest in the House against the Yogi government.
Led by SP President Akhilesh Yadav, party MLAs and Legislative Council members demonstrated for cheap electricity to farmers, no false cases against the people of the opposition, cheap education and irrigation. In the presence of Akhilesh, the SP leaders appeared enthusiastic, but the SP could not get the support of the allies. The RLD MLAs remained with the SP, but the MLAs of Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Bharatiya Suheldev Samaj Party did not participate in this demonstration.
Azam Khan kept distance from Akhilesh
Along with Azam Khan, his son Abdullah Azam Khan also took oath as MLA on Monday. He did not return to Rampur like Azam but sat silently in the house. He along with the SP MLAs did not join the sloganeering against the Yogi government. At the same time, Azam Khan returned to Rampur after taking oath, while his chair was next to Akhilesh in the House.
After taking oath, Azam Khan thanked the Speaker of the Assembly. Azam Khan did not say anything clearly on the Lucknow tour, but when asked why SP Patron Mulayam Singh Yadav did not take care of him? On this, Azam Khan taunted and said that he may not have my number. Not only this, Azam Khan has not openly expressed any displeasure about Akhilesh, but his supporters definitely expressed their anger.
Azam Khan has come out on bail after being in jail for 27 months. During this, Mulayam Singh Yadav never asked his condition. Akhilesh Yadav also met him in jail only once, but did not make any movement for his release. Azam Khan’s supporters are angry with the SP regarding this matter.
Shivpal Yadav also did not stand with SP
Shivpal Singh Yadav’s displeasure against Akhilesh Yadav, who became MLA on SP ticket, was also seen in the house. Shivpal Yadav took part in the budget session of the assembly, but did not participate in the protests of the SPs. Shivpal Yadav stood near his seat and SP MLA Manoj Paras kept protesting next to him. Shivpal was present there but kept distance from SP. In the House, Shivpal neither met SP chief Akhilesh Yadav nor demonstrated with the SPs.
Rajbhar MLAs also stayed away from SP’s Protest
Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Bharatiya Suheldev Samaj Party, which contested with the SP in the 2022 assembly elections, also kept away from the SP’s protests during the Governor’s address. This time 6 MLAs of Rajbhar’s party have come after winning. On the question of not participating in the protest in the House, BSP President Om Prakash Rajbhar said that the Governor is a woman and the old tradition of protesting during the Governor’s address should be changed. Our party did not consider this protest necessary, so we did not protest. During the Governor’s address, Om Prakash listened to him like a good listener and did not stand by the strategy of opposition of SP.
OP Rajbhar gave political advice to Akhilesh
At the same time, before this, Om Prakash Rajbhar told reporters outside the assembly that if he wants to win the Lok Sabha elections, then the SP chief should not sit at home and go out in the field. This is not the time to rest. It will have to come out among the people and the public will have to be explained about the issues on which we fought the assembly elections. Rajbhar said that SubhaSP has already started its preparations. Rajbhar argued that Mayawati did politics sitting at home, so today there is an MLA from her party in the assembly. Congress did the same thing, its fate is also in front.
The ruling party remained united during the budget session in the assembly. The MLAs of all BJP allies were seen standing together, so the opposition looked scattered. SP, BSP, RLD and Congress MLAs were seen protesting against the Yogi government at different places. In the protest of SP, many MLAs who won on party tickets were not even seen standing, then the allies also shunned.
