Uttarakhand / Mussoorie: Violence of alcoholics, thrashed shopkeepers and passers-by, stabbed with sharp weapons, condition of 3 critical, accused absconding

Near Maggi Point on Mussoorie-Dehradun road, some mischievous elements attacked local shopkeepers with sticks and sharp weapons late on Monday night. Three people were seriously injured in the attack who were taken to Max Hospital by local people with the help of private vehicles from where they were referred by doctors to Indresh Hospital. At present, the condition of all three remains critical.

It is being told that the youths who attacked were intoxicated and fled after beating the shopkeepers and customers present there, in which a Shiv Sena leader is also being told. Around 20-25 people were present with him, including 4 women. According to eyewitnesses, some people were coming from Mussoorie to Dehradun late in the night, who were in a state of intoxication, along with some women. Near Maggi Point near the water band, they misbehaved with the local shopkeepers and the customers present there, when they resisted, they attacked them with sticks and sharp weapons in which 3 people were seriously injured.

Among the injured are Rohit Bhandari resident Maggie Point Ajay Rawat Vijay Rawat resident of Shiv Colony Hathibadkala Dehradun who is undergoing treatment at Indresh Hospital. It is being told that one of these youths is to be married on 28th and the youth had come to his friend’s Maggi Point to give the card. Whose condition remains critical and is fighting a battle between life and death at Indresh Hospital. There is a furore in his family over this incident. In this regard, a written complaint has been given by the victims in Kotwali Mussoorie, Inspector-in-Charge Girish Chand Sharma said that with the help of CCTV footage, the accused are being identified and legal action will be taken against them by registering a case. He said that the culprits would not be spared and the police would investigate and try to bring justice to the victims.

Eyewitness Sagar Sharma told that late night some people were abusing him after getting drunk outside his shop, on which he was asked not to do so, due to being intoxicated, he called his other companions and He beat up the people present there fiercely and attacked 3 people with sharp weapons, due to which an atmosphere of panic is prevailing in the entire area. Nominated Tahrir has been given by Bhagat Singh Rawat Rawat in Kotwali Mussoorie, in which it has been talked about taking action against Ravi Grover and Vijay Kumar and others, as well as protesting if there is no arrest.
