IAS officer Sanjeev Khirwar, who had completely evacuated the stadium by getting the athletes out early to walk in the Thyagaraj Stadium and walk his dog, suddenly came into the limelight on Thursday morning and by evening he was scolded. The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred Khirwar to Ladakh by issuing an order late in the evening, while his wife IAS officer Riku Dugga has been sent to Arunachal Pradesh. Both are officers of Joint UT Cadre of 1994 batch. Khirwar was posted as Principal Secretary (Revenue) in Delhi Government.

The children also confirmed the evacuation of the stadium
The children who took coaching here have also confirmed the evacuation of the stadium. The children taking coaching here said that they used to ask security guards to vacate the stadium by 7 pm. Due to this they do not get enough time for training. At least 3 or 4 hours are required for full training. For this, he had to reach the stadium in the sun ahead of time.

Sumeet, a resident of Faridabad, takes coaching of Kabaddi at the Thyagaraj Stadium. The timing of the training is from 4-6 hrs. He says that 2 hours is not enough time for full training. It takes at least 3 or 4 hours to learn, practice and run the nuances of Kabaddi. But only 2-3 hours are available for practice in the stadium. After 7 pm, the security guards call the coach and ask him to stop training. Therefore, for the last several days, he reaches the stadium early in the scorching sun, so that he can get more time for training.

The security guards used to vacate the stadium at 7 o’clock
Sheeba, a resident of Nizamuddin, says that she takes training in volleyball and judo here. He started training a few weeks back. Earlier there was no time restriction for training. Instead of two hours, the children used to train for 3-4 hours and the coach also stayed with them. Many children were seen training even till 8-8.30 pm. But for some time the security guards ask to vacate the stadium at 7 o’clock. One who has to practice for a long time has to come in the harsh sun only at 2.30 or 3 in the afternoon instead of 4 in the evening.

Senior officers come for walking
A security guard of Thyagaraj Stadium says that the time for walking is fixed from 6 am to 9 am. In this slot of 3 hours, people have been given membership to walk for one hour each. In the evening, training for about 10 games including Badminton, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Basketball, Football, Boxing, Kabaddi, Volleyball is given here. About 300 children come here daily to take training. Although the evening timings for training have been done till 4-6 pm, but due to strong sunlight, the stadium administrator has made the timings till 7 pm. After this the stadium is emptied. All the guards who are on duty at the gate number-1 of the stadium, they say that they only know that some senior officers come for walking. But, there is no information about who he is.

Officers saying nothing
After the matter of Principal Secretary (Revenue) Sanjeev Khirwar taking a walk with his dog at Thyagaraj Stadium, no one is hesitant to speak in this matter. On calling Sanjeev Khirwar, he deferred the matter by saying that he would talk later. Despite repeated calls and messages to stadium administrator Ajit Chaudhary, he did not respond in this matter.

The stadium will remain open till 10 pm
Let us tell you that in a news it was claimed that Khirwar used to get the players to vacate the entire stadium to walk their pet dog in the evening. Because of this, the players had difficulty in practicing daily. On getting this information, the Delhi government has also taken a big decision on Thursday regarding the training of the players. Now the stadiums will remain open in the capital till 10 pm. Players will get more time to practice.
