‘Dhaakad’ earned only Rs 4,420 on the 8th day, only 20 tickets of the film were sold

Actress Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Dhaakad’ is doing very badly at the box office. According to reports, the film, made in a budget of about Rs 100 crore, has been able to earn only Rs 5 crore in 8 days. Not only this, only 20 tickets of the film have been sold in India on the 8th day of release, due to which ‘Dhaakad’ has earned only Rs 4,420. At the same time, ‘Dhaakad’ has also become the biggest flop film of Kangana’s career.

According to reports, the film flopped at the box office on the opening day itself. On the first day, the film was able to do business of only Rs 75 lakhs. At the same time, the film did a collection of only 2 crores in the first week i.e. 7 days. From the release till now, the flop show of ‘Dhaakad’ continues in theatres. The film was released in 2200 screens in India.

‘Dhaakad’ is now running in only 25 cinemas in the country
According to sources, in the second week, ‘Dhaakad’ is running in only 25 theaters in India. It has been removed from theaters by about 98.80% in the second week as compared to the first week. Delhi is the largest city, in which ‘Dhaakad’ is running in 4 theatres. At the same time, the film is not playing in any cinema hall in Mumbai. Because, after the first week itself, the film was removed from all theaters in Mumbai. Whereas on ticket booking app BookMyShow, ‘Dhaakad’ is showing with ‘No Watch Option’. This means there are no shows available for moviegoers to book.

OTT-satellite rights of the film not being sold
The film’s flop at the box office has had a direct impact on the film’s OTT and satellite rights deal. According to reports, after the film’s super flop, now its OTT and satellite rights are also not being sold. Because, the makers are not getting any buyer.

After the flop, many shows of the film were canceled
According to the reports of Bollywood Hungama, many shows of this film have also been canceled after the poor performance of ‘Dhaakad’ at the box office. In such a situation, now the makers of the film have to struggle a lot even to get a place on OTT. According to sources, the makers did not sell the rights of ‘Dhaakad’ before the release of the film thinking that they might get a good deal from any major OTT platform. This was the reason that even at the beginning of the film, the makers did not give any information about the OTT and satellite deal.

No deal found for OTT and satellite rights
It is being told that ‘Dhaakad’ has proved to be a flop at the box office and in such a situation, there is no hope that the producers will earn well by selling satellite and digital rights of the film. Not only this, the makers of the film have not yet got any deal for OTT and satellite rights. It is also being said that ‘Dhaakad’ is an adult film and to show it on TV, the makers will have to get re-certification done, which is a very long process. At the same time, there has not been a good response from fans and critics about the film.

Makers are trying to sell rights to Amazon
‘Dhaakad’ has been distributed in theaters through Zee Studios. There was talk in the market that Zee Verticals, Zee 5 and Zee Cinema would buy the OTT and satellite rights of the film. However, the source has claimed that G5 is not the OTT partner of the film. Makers are trying to sell the rights to Amazon Prime Video. In a few days, the confirmed information regarding the deal of OTT and satellite rights of the film will come out.
