Uttarakhad / Roorkee : Two arrested for kidnapping a young man and demanding ransom, told in police custody how they make people victims

Two accused have been arrested by the police in connection with the kidnapping of the youth and demanding ransom. The young man has also been found safe. During interrogation, both told that they had carried out the kidnapping incident by implicating the youth in a honeytrap through a woman. Police is also looking for the woman. Both have been sent to jail.

Sarfaraz (28), a resident of village Sanghipur located in Laksar Kotwali area, had gone to Roorkee on Thursday morning to collect children’s books. Late in the evening, the family members got a call from Sarfaraz’s mobile that their son had been kidnapped. The callers had demanded a ransom of six lakhs from him. The family members had given complete information to the police after reaching Kotwali.

The police found the mobile location of the youth in Panipat, Haryana. Based on the location, a team of police reached Haryana. With the help of the local police, the Laksar police recovered the youth safely. Along with this, two accused of kidnapping were also arrested. The police took both the accused from Haryana to Laksar.

Call on social media
Both gave their names and addresses as Usman resident Indira Chowk Bismillah Barat Ghar, Thana Mandi Saharanpur and Naresh resident of village Matlodha, district Panipat Haryana. Both told that through a woman, they implicate people by calling them on social media.

After this, he calls her to meet him at a place. When he comes, kidnaps them and demands ransom. Kotwali in-charge Yashpal Singh Bisht told that both have been produced in the court and sent to jail. Search is on for the woman. The youth has been handed over to the relatives.
