Congress released the list of 10 candidates of Rajya Sabha, tickets to Ranjeet Ranjan and Rajiv Shukla from CG

Congress has announced the names of 10 candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections. The names of Randeep Singh Surjewala, Mukul Wasnik and Pramod Tiwari have been announced from Rajasthan. Let us tell you that the elections for 57 seats of Rajya Sabha are going to be held on June 10. May 31 is the last date for nominations.
Apart from these, the names of two candidates have been announced from Chhattisgarh. Ranjeet Ranjan and Rajiv Shukla have been made candidates from here. At the same time, Ajay Maken from Haryana, Jairam Ramesh from Karnataka, Vivek Tankha from Madhya Pradesh, Imran Pratapgarhi from Maharashtra and P Chidambaram from Tamil Nadu have been nominated.

Congress has 8 seats to be vacant
Eight seats of Congress are falling vacant in Rajya Sabha. These include leaders like former Union Minister P Chidambaram, Jairam Ramesh, Kapil Sibal, Chhaya Sharma, Vivek Tankha, Ambika Soni. At the same time, there was a long list of senior Congress leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad, Anand Sharma, Pramod Tiwari, Kumari Selja, Sanjay Nirupam, Rajeev Shukla Raj Babbar, who were waiting to go to the Upper House. Of these, P. Chidambaram, Jairam Ramesh, Vivek Tankha, Pramod Tiwari, Rajiv Shukla have been made candidates by the party.
Let us tell you that voting will be held on June 10 on 57 vacant Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states. According to the Election Commission, the tenure of many members is being completed between 21.06.2022 to 01.08.2022. After this these seats will become vacant. Earlier on March 31, elections were held for 13 Rajya Sabha seats in six states. These elections were held in Assam (2 seats), Himachal Pradesh (1), Kerala (3), Nagaland (01), Tripura (01), Punjab (5).
