XUV300 EV SUV coming in bigger size than petrol model, will be launched by 2023

Mahindra has announced the launch of an electric version SUV of its XUV300. It will be launched in the first quarter of 2023. Apart from this, the company has also announced that it will unveil its electric vehicle business plan and EV concept ‘Born Electric Vision’ in August this year.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra said, “We will launch the electric version of the XUV300, which we expect to get in the first quarter of the next calendar year.” He further added that it is said to be an electric version of the XUV300, but it will all be 4.2 meters longer than the base model with 4 metres.
New headlight and redesigned fog lamps will be available
The XUV300 electric SUV is being designed on Mahindra Electric Scalable and Modular Architecture (MESMA), which is the first production model from the brand. It will get a new headlight, redesigned fog lamps and fog lamp housing for exterior features. At the same time, it can also get a closed grille and new alloy wheels like the rest of the electric car.
Can get a range of 250 to 300 kmph
The upcoming electric SUV has been given a battery power of 350V. In which a more power 380V version is also expected to be included later. On the other hand, if we talk about the battery range, then the XUV300 can be launched in two range options. The XUV300 Electric can deliver a range of 250 to 300 kmph on a single charge. Apart from this, this will be the first product of the company in which LG Chem will have a battery cell specially made for India.
Worth
The all-electric version of the XUV300 can cost more than Rs 13 lakh. It is being speculated that its starting price will be similar to the Nexon EV and the top variant will be priced similar to the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona EV.
