Punjab government to restore security of 424 VVIPs from June 7

Hearing the petition filed in the Punjab Haryana High Court regarding the withdrawal of VVIP security in Punjab, the court had sought a response from the government in the last hearing. In which today in front of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, the AAP government has spoken of giving back the security of all 424 people. Now the security withdrawn from June 7 will be restored again.
Five days after singer Sidhu Musewala was shot dead, the Punjab government today said the security cover for over 420 VVIPs would be restored from June 7. During the hearing of a petition by former minister OP Soni, the Aam Aadmi Party government told this to the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has come under fire for reducing the security of VVIPs after the killing of Sidhu Musewala.
On the question of reduction in security cover by the High Court, the Punjab government said that it needs security personnel for the anniversary of Operation Bluestar on June 6. We will restore security from 7th June. Let us tell you that in June 1984, terrorists were killed in the Golden Temple.
In Punjab, the security of 424 people was reduced, or withdrawn, after a recent security review. Singer Sidhu Musewala was also one of them, who was assassinated the very next day after his security was returned.
