The people of the city have submitted a memorandum to the DM regarding the disturbances in the land and hospital of the historic Laprosy Mission located in Karbala of the city. He has accused the mission and hospital of trying to destroy the land. It is said in the memorandum that the Leprosy Hospital and Ashram has been working since the British era to treat leprosy patients and rehabilitate them and their families and connect them with the main stream of the society. It has been alleged that the Methodist Church in India has stopped the leprosy eradication work being done by the Laprosy Mission. Medicines are not being given to leprosy patients coming from outside. Efforts are being made to cut beautiful deodar and other green trees in the premises of the institution and which have also been identified for felling. He also raised the demand for taking concrete action against the officers and employees who are destroying the land. Among those who submitted the memorandum were Municipal President Prakash Chandra Joshi, Patron Day Care Center Anand Singh Bagadwal, Hem Chandra Joshi, HC Kandpal, Mathuradutt Mishra, Anand Ballabh Joshi, Devendra Kumar Agnihotri, Girish Chandra Joshi, Gajendra Singh, Trilok Singh Kadakoti, President Red Cross Manoj Sanwal. , Dr. JC Durgapal, KS Nayal, Pushpa Kaida, PC Tiwari etc. were involved.
