Uttarakhand / Roorkee : Declaring himself a soldier, an amount of 1.33 lakh was cleared from the account

One of the accused, pretending to be a soldier, on the pretext of renting a room, cleared the amount of one lakh 33 thousand from the account. The accused had sought bank account details to deposit the room rent advance. Police have registered a case in this matter.
Radheshyam Agrawal, a resident of Housing Development Colony of Ganganahar Kotwali area, told the police that on May 27, he had received a call. The caller gave his name as Randeep Singh. Describing himself as a soldier, he talked about posting in Roorkee Cantonment. He said that there is no vacant accommodation in the cantonment premises. So he has to take a room on rent. He also sent his Aadhar card to Radheshyam Agarwal. After this, he called again and made Radheshyam Agarwal talk to a person, who told himself to be an officer of the army canteen. He told that Randeep has been transferred to Roorkee Cantonment. So he needs a room on rent. Coming to his words, Radheshyam Aggarwal agreed to give the room on rent. Randin asked for bank account details to deposit the advance fare. Coming to his words, the landlord gave him all the information related to the bank account. Along with giving information about the bank account, an amount of one lakh 33 thousand was cleared from his account. He came to know about this when he got the message of withdrawal of money from the account. After this he went to the bank and got information from there, it came to know that this amount has been transferred from his account to any other bank account. The victim has given a complaint to the Civil Lines Kotwali police on Thursday regarding this. Inspector Aishwarya Pal, in-charge of Ganganahar Kotwali said that the police have registered a case in this matter. police is investigating the case.
