Punjab : AAP announced the candidate for the by-election, made this leader its candidate
The ruling Aam Aadmi Party has announced the name of its candidate for the by-election to be held in Sangrur Lok Sabha seat. Aam Aadmi Party has given ticket to its worker and party’s district in-charge Gurmel Singh in Sangrur. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has announced the name of Gurmel Singh.
Due to this vacant seat
Polling for the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat is to be held on June 23. This seat fell vacant due to the resignation of Bhagwant Mann. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has been MP from this seat twice. The name of Bhagwant Mann’s sister was also running in the race to get tickets. But the Aam Aadmi Party did not give him a ticket to avoid the allegation of familyism.
Will be interesting competition
The by-election to the Lok Sabha seat of Sangrur is not going to be easy for the Aam Aadmi Party. This election is being seen as the biggest test of the three-month tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party government. Apart from this, after the murder of Sidhu Musewala, the Punjab government is being accused of not being able to handle law and order. All the opposition parties are calling the decision to cut the security of Bhagwant Mank Sidhu Musewala responsible for the murder.

The reason for Sidhu Musewala being a big factor in the by-election to the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat is also to contest the election of Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) chief Simarjit Mann. Sidhu Musewala had announced that he would campaign for Simarjit Mann in the by-elections being held in Sangrur. Now after the murder of Moosewala, his fans can be seen standing with Simarjeet Mann.
