Putting aside the terror scare, the people of the Valley on Friday strongly condemned the killings of minority Hindus and common people in one voice. At the same time, after prayers from every street and nook and corner of the mosque, messages were sent that the killing of innocent people is prohibited in Islam. This is the first time in the 32-year history of Kashmir that such a large number of people have stood up against terrorism. After Friday prayers from every mosque in the Valley, prominent Maulana and Muftis gave a message of peace and appealed to other Hindu minorities, including Kashmiri Pandits, who were leaving the Valley fearing attacks, not to leave Kashmir. Every Kashmiri is with him.

We are all saddened by these killings of Pandits, Hindus and common people in the Valley and strongly condemn it. People took out a peace march after the Namaz in Baramulla.
