Bareilly administration has imposed curfew in the district till July 3. Following the Kanpur violence, police have imposed curfew under Section-144 as a precaution before the major protest announced by Muslim cleric Tauqir Raza on June 10. According to the administration, not more than five people will be allowed to gather in public places during the curfew period. During this, there will also be a ban on picketing. Violent clash between two groups

Let us inform that there was a violent clash between two groups in Kanpur on Friday over the alleged closure of the market. During this a lot of stones were thrown. Seeing the situation getting tense, security has been increased in the area located between Yatim Khana and Parade intersection in Kanpur. Two people and a policeman have been injured in the clash.

Police said the violence started when some people tried to shut down the shops despite another group protesting. The main accused in the Kanpur violence case, Hayat Jafar Hashmi, has been arrested along with three other masterminds, the state police said on Saturday.

Property will be confiscated

According to the police, four people involved in the conspiracy were identified, tracked down and arrested. Kanpur CP said, “We will investigate whether he had any links with PFI. Action will be taken under the Gangster Act and the NSA and his property will be confiscated.”

The four arrested have been identified as Hayat Jafar Hashmi, Javed Ahmed Khan, Mohammad Rahil and Mohammad Sufiyan. Meena said, “All these are associated with Maulana Ali Johar Fans Association. We will ask the court to send them on remand for 14 days.” Uttar Pradesh Police confirmed that 24 people have been arrested so far in connection with the violence that took place in Kanpur on Friday.

Kanpur CP Vijay Singh Meena said, “Some people tried to incite communal tension in Kanpur on Friday.
