Encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara, Army killed two terrorists including a Pakistani

Indian Army has killed two terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara in the early hours of Tuesday. One of the terrorists has been identified as Tufail. Tufail was a resident of Pakistan. Both the slain terrorists were active members of Lashkar-e-Taiba. At present, the army and Jammu and Kashmir Police have cordoned off the entire area and the search operation is still going on. It is feared that the accomplices of these terrorists may still be hiding in this area.

Two terrorists killed, search for the rest continues
Jammu and Kashmir Police IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar has told that so far two terrorists have been killed in the Kupwara encounter. Both terrorists belong to Lashkar-e-Taiba, one of whom is Pakistani terrorist Tufail. The search is on for the rest of the terrorists.

Army in action after target killing
The army has been given a free hand after the increasing number of target killing incidents in Kashmir. A few days ago, Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting regarding the situation in Kashmir. In this meeting, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Director of Intelligence Bureau, including many senior officers of the army and civil administration attended.
