China’s preparations near LAC alarm bells, top US military official warns

A top US military official has told such a thing about China’s activities on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), which can really become a cause for concern. He said that building China in this way near the LAC in Ladakh can prove to be an alarm bell.
US Army Pacific Commanding General Charles A Flynn said, “The level at which China is doing activities is eye-opening.” The construction being done at the PLA’s Western Theater Command is really dangerous. One should ask the question why China is doing this and what is their purpose.
Talking to the media, Flynn gave answers when asked questions on Ladakh. His remarks come as three years have passed since the border tension between India and China in Ladakh and even after several rounds of talks, a complete solution has not been found. However, forces have been removed from some friction areas on the LAC. So much success has definitely been achieved.
The American general had come to India on a four-day visit. He also met Army Chief Manoj Pandey. There was talk on mutual military cooperation between the two. Let us inform that there have been 15 talks between China and India to reduce the tension on the border. The issue of Petrol Point 15 and Nulla Junction near Kongka La is yet to be discussed. There is tension between the two countries since May 2020. Tension had increased significantly in the Galwan Valley, Pangong Tso and Gogra Hot Spring areas. 60 thousand soldiers from both sides are still stationed here.
In the last two years, China has increased activities along the border and deployed modern weapons. In May, the army chief said it was not easy to regain trust with the PLA as it could not be a one-way process. He said that there is still a lack of trust between the two countries. Tension reached its peak after the conflict in Galwan Valley on 15 June 2020.
