Uttarakhand / Almora : One arrested with 11 grams of smack, had brought smack from Rudrapur

The district police has launched a special drive against drug smugglers. In the course of the campaign, on Tuesday evening, the police arrested a youth with 11.41 grams of smack. The youth was trying to bring smack from Rudrapur and sell it in Almora.

On Tuesday, SOG and Almora Kotwali police were jointly checking vehicles near Base Tirahe. The police searched a suspicious youth. 11.41 grams of smack and a scale were recovered from the youth. During interrogation, the youth has given his name as Nikhilesh Kanwal resident Khatyadi Almora. SOG SI Saurabh Bharti told that Nikhilesh had brought smack from Rudrapur and was trying to sell the youth in Almora. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act.
