Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Husband separated woman constable by saying triple talaq

Husband separated the female constable after 15 years of marriage by saying triple talaq. The accused husband is posted in the Health Department from Upanal and is presently serving in the Chief Minister’s residence. It is alleged that the woman’s husband gets the posting done in other districts by misleading the officials. The police have registered a case against the accused under the Protection of Muslim Women’s Rights of Marriage Act.

According to Patelnagar Kotwali police, the woman says that she is posted in the prosecution office, Dehradun. He was married in 2006 with Shahabuddin resident Majra Dehradun. After a few years the husband started abusing. Mental and physical torture was given for abusing talk, stigmatization. On March 28, the husband quarreled. Called his father Din Mohammad, maternal uncle Mir Mohammad, Firoz, Habib and other relatives. Beaten up and uttered talaq thrice. He also tried to shoot with a knife. It is alleged that the husband is threatening that he is working in the Chief Minister’s residence. Threatens to get implicated in a false case. The husband had threatened that in ten days I would get transferred to my home district Rudraprayag. It is alleged that on the behest of her husband, she was transferred to Rudraprayag on 31 May 2022.
