In fact, in the fifth package of the strategically important Pathankot Mandi Fourlane Project, the Narla to Mandi section is to be constructed, but in this hilly area, only a two-lane road will be built, whose width will be from 30 to 45 meters. At present the length of the road in this section is 23 km, but after the construction of two lane it will be reduced to 19 km. A total of 24 new bridges are to be built in this section, in which there will be 5 major bridges. To connect Kiratpur-Manali four lane beyond Bijni, a 4 km tunnel will also be built with Mandi city, which will be found in Bindrabani.
The special thing is that an effort has been made to save the markets in this road. Along with this, such a plan has been made to plant at least trees in the construction. Construction will be done in such a way that there should be minimum damage to private and government property and business of people is not affected.
