With the increasing cases of corona virus, the infection of monkeypox has put the whole world in a new trouble. Monkeypox cases have been reported in about 29 countries of the world. The World Health Organization said that more than 1000 cases of monkeypox have been confirmed so far. Meanwhile, experts made a surprising disclosure about the monkeypox virus.

Experts from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that the monkeypox virus also spreads through the air. According to experts, if someone is in constant face-to-face contact with an infected person, then this virus can spread through the air. Although experts believe that the monkeypox virus cannot travel much distance in the air. Experts have advised people to wear masks.

Spread by touching clothes and bedding

During a briefing on Friday, CDC chief Rochelle Valensky said in many places monkeypox was being caused by physical contact with symptomatic patients and by touching their clothing and bedding, the Daily Mail reported. The CDC has advised travelers and people to wear masks to protect themselves from monkeypox, as well as to avoid contact with a person infected with monkeypox.

This virus cannot stay in the air for long

The CDC also clarified in its briefing that the monkeypox virus, which causes the rash in the body, cannot survive in the air for as long as the Kovid 19 virus. The expert also said that this virus does not spread by touching someone else’s belongings or touching the door or latch as we saw earlier during the corona virus. According to experts, all the cases of monkeypox that have been reported so far have all come in direct contact with the infected person.
