Petrol-diesel crisis on the verge of drying up 4500 pumps in Rajasthan, order to be closed after 9 pm

To control oil prices, the central government reduced excise duty. At the same time, two oil companies HPCL (Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited) and BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) in Rajasthan have started rationing oil to reduce the losses.

The sales officers of both the companies are giving open instructions to the petrol pump operators to keep the working hours only for 8 hours. That is, do not sell petrol and diesel after 9 pm. Oil cell should be reduced. The officers of both the companies have started giving less oil at their own level.

Companies argue that due to reduction in excise duty, there is a loss in selling petrol and diesel.

The reason behind giving less oil is being told to get less supply from the front, while IOC (Indian Oil Corporation Limited) is supplying the entire oil at its level. The condition is that out of 6700 pumps in Rajasthan, 4500 pumps have reached the verge of drying up on Sunday. Oil depots will remain closed due to the second Saturday on June 11 and Sunday on June 12. Supply will be smooth only on Monday. The officials of the companies have kept silence on this undeclared oil crisis. At the same time, oil is not being sold at the pumps of Reliance and Essar.

Earlier, as soon as the booking was done through demand draft, hand-delivery was done, but now advance booking is being sought. Despite this, the supply is being done in two to three days. There is a problem in getting the depots of all the three companies located in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer and Kota in Rajasthan for oil.

Responsible on rationing said – this is a global crisis
Regarding the rationing of oil, Bhaskar tried to talk to the responsible of both the companies. Talking to BPCL’s depot in-charge SK Rajput in Jodhpur, he dismissed the matter of oil crisis. Then said – this is a global crisis. Similarly, Ashish Singhal, DGM of HPCL in Jaipur did not consider it appropriate to talk about this issue.

Claims of companies – Loss ranging from Rs.12 to 14/Litre
On May 21, the Center has charged Rs 9.55 on petrol. And on diesel Rs.720/litre. Excise duty reduced. The brakes have already been put on the rise in oil prices. BPCL and HPCL are blaming this for the declining profits. The officers of both the companies got Rs 14 on diesel. And they are talking about loss of 11 to 12 rupees / liter on petrol.

State President of Rajasthan Petroleum Dealers Association Sunit Bagai Belle- HPCL and BPCL are not supplying oil to their dealers. Diesel supply has been stopped. HPCL CMD Dr. Pushp Kumar Joshi, BPCL Executive Director PS Ravi has been apprised of the situation. Still the situation did not improve.
