Uttarakhand / Pithoragarh : No staff for ICU operation even after four years

The ICU was set up in the district hospital on 14 April 2018 by Hans Foundation at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore. Then people expected that people would not have to go to the metros for treatment, but even after four years, the staff could not be deployed.
The then CM Trivendra Singh Rawat had launched the ICU of Hans Foundation. Then he also described the ICU given to the marginal district as world class, but after Trivendra, two new chief ministers came to the state and despite the return of the BJP to power again, the ICU could not get its staff. ICU has been operated only for the treatment of seriously admitted patients during Corona. 24 personnel including a doctor are to be deployed for ICU operation. The Health Department has sent a proposal for deployment of staff to the government many times, but the government has not taken any decision in this regard so far. CMO Dr. HC Hyanki told that along with PM Dr. KC Bhatt, the department is also in constant correspondence for the deployment of staff in ICU.
