Uttarakhand / Rishikesh : Angry people surrounded the Kotwali on the death of the student
After the death of a 19-year-old girl student of Someshwar Nagar in Madhya Pradesh’s car collision, anger among family members and locals erupted. Angry relatives and local people accused the police of registering a case under mild sections. It is alleged that due to the connivance of the police, the accused car driver got bail from the court. The relatives have warned of agitation if the accused is not arrested by registering a case of murder.
On Thursday, at around three o’clock in the afternoon, a speeding car of Madhya Pradesh number coming from Haridwar side near Railway Under on Shyampur bypass hit the auto coming in opposite direction. Auto driver Rajendra Bishnoi (50), resident of Khanna Nagar in Haridwar and Isha Doval (19), a resident of Someshwar Nagar, were seriously injured during the accident. Both the injured were brought to the government hospital, from where they were referred to AIIMS. Isha Doval died during treatment here at five o’clock in the morning. The condition of the auto driver remains critical.
On Sunday, Isha’s relatives and local people got information about the accused car driver getting bail from the court. On this a large number of angry relatives and local people reached Kotwali. People surrounded the Kotwal and told the police a lot. The relatives also accused the police of saving the accused by taking pressure and taking money. Isha’s mother Kamala Devi and Tai Mamta Devi said that the accused driver assaulted her after the incident and also threatened to see if legal action was taken. Both told that the accused pressurized them to bury the matter by taking Rs. When he protested, the accused said that he has a high reach and nothing can harm him. He told that the police had brought the accused into custody and brought him to Kotwali. Despite this, the police registered a case against the unknown. Known section as negligence was imposed on the accused. Due to which he got bail from the court. Kotwal Ravi Saini told the family members that the accused car driver has been identified as Shiv Prasad Raghav (50), a resident of Morena in Madhya Pradesh. During the investigation, the section of culpable homicide has been increased in the trial. He said that a fair investigation is being done in the matter. However, the family members and local people were demanding the arrest of the accused.
