Monsoon knocked in Bihar on time via Purnia, Patna will reach on this day, 7 districts in the grip of heatwave

The people of Bihar are going to get relief from the heat soon. Battling with adversity, monsoon has knocked on time in Bihar via Purnia. For the fourth year in a row, the monsoon has arrived in Bihar on time. Normally, on June 13, the monsoon knocks in Bihar through Purnia in the state. Monsoon entered Purnia on Monday. However, seven districts of South Bihar remained in the grip of heatwave and severe heat on Monday. The temperature increased in many districts including the capital Patna.

Monsoon will spread to other parts of the state in the next three to five days. During this, there will be an increase in rain activities in North and then South Bihar. The first monsoon rains are expected in the capital Patna and Gaya on June 16. At the same time, the date of arrival of monsoon in Saran is June 18.

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain and thundershowers in most parts of the state from June 15. Director of Meteorological Center Vivek Sinha said that the conditions are favorable for the spread of monsoon in the state. Monsoon will be active over the entire state for the next 4-5 days.

Heavy rain in four districts as soon as monsoon arrives

As soon as the monsoon entered the state, it spread to four districts of North Bihar. Monsoon activities were observed over Araria, Purnia, Supaul and Kishanganj. It is raining heavily in these areas. According to the Meteorological Department, within the last 24 hours, Araria, Forbesganj received the highest rainfall. 54.5 mm of water fell here. Apart from this, 52.8 mm of rain was recorded in Kishanganj, 40.2 mm in Narpatganj in Araria, 38.2 mm in Sikti, 36.6 mm in Taibpur in Kishanganj and 36.2 mm in Thakurganj.

Severe heat in South Bihar, 7 districts in the grip of heatwave

South Bihar witnessed the heaviest heat of the month on Monday. Seven districts were hit by the heatwave. People kept getting scorched by the heat. Buxar recorded the highest temperature of 46.6 degree Celsius in Rohtas. At the same time, Rohtas recorded 44.6, Sheikhpura 43.2, Aurangabad 44.7, Nawada 43.9 and Nalanda 42.9 degree Celsius. The temperature in the capital Patna also rose by two degrees and the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.5 degrees Celsius. However, as the monsoon progresses, the temperature will drop in the cities of South Bihar.
